NFL Madrid 2026

The excitement of American football is coming back to Madrid in 2026 (date pending confirmation) when the Bernabéu Stadium will host another NFL regular league game. The North American giant will be coming to Spain, consolidating Madrid as a world centre for sport and entertainment with an exciting match in which the Atlanta Falcons will be playing as the home side.

This will be the second time that an official match in the regular-season of the National Football League (NFL) will be played in Spain, following on from the match in November 2025 when the Miami Dolphins beat the Washington Commanders. 

In this way, the NFL is continuing to expand beyond the borders of the United States.  The NFL Madrid Game 2026 will be one of 9 international matches that the league will play next season, as well as venues like Paris or Melbourne.

It has been confirmed that the Atlanta Falcons will play as the home side in this match. It is a professional American football team from the United States based in Atlanta, Georgia, which is currently competing in the National Football Conference - South Division and plays at home at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The team led by Kevin Stefanski will be the home team at the Bernabéu Stadium and its rival will be announced shortly.

Greg Beadles, CEO and President of the Falcons, assures that Atlanta and Madrid make a perfect combination given that Atlanta will also host two of the matches in the Groups Phase of the Spanish Selection in the World Cup 2026, which will be played at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
