The Madrid Half Marathon, a World Athletics Label Road Race included in the official calendar of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) which features a beautiful route past city landmarks, starts and finish on Paseo de Recoletos, next to the iconic National Library. Registration is already open for the 2026 edition, set to be held on 22 March.
The 2025 edition, which saw a record number of participants, with nearly 27,000 runners, was won by the young Kenyan Levy Kibet Chematot (1:00:46) and his compatriot athlete Emmy Jepkemoi Mutai (1:09:09). The race's all-time records are held in the men’s category by Ronald Kiprotich, who clocked 59:38 in 2021, and in the women's category by Winfridah Moraa, who finished in 1:07:22 in 2022.
For those looking for a more accessible distance, the 5.8k Carrera ProFuturo race will once again run alongside the main event.
